The press conference for the 10th edition of the Young Scientists Festival (YSF) was held on September 28, 2026, at the University of Tehran, bringing together members of the Festival’s councils and committees.

The session focused on the role of basic sciences in scientific and technological development, the Festival’s evaluation and support mechanisms, and the opportunities available to young researchers and idea developers. The Festival’s structure and participation pathways were also presented, including the newly introduced “Future Generation Innovators” section, which provides an opportunity for young people aged 14–23 to present their ideas in the field of basic sciences.

The event also highlighted the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Festival and universities across the country, particularly by engaging young and distinguished faculty members and leveraging universities’ scientific capacities to expand the Festival’s reach and activities.

As part of the Festival’s continued efforts to encourage broader participation, the deadline for submitting and registering ideas was extended to October 22, 2026, providing additional time for researchers, young talents, and idea developers to participate in the 10th edition.
