With the aim of identifying and supporting the country’s young ideators, YSF provides a unique opportunity to present and support creative ideas and businesses in various fields of basic sciences.
The Young Scientists Festival is held annually with the support of the Jamili Science and Technology Foundation, the Benefactors’ Foundation and the Research and Technology Week Headquarters of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the Vice-Presidency for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, the University of Tehran, and the Tehran University Supporters Foundation. This national and international event aims to identify and support the scientific and creative ideas of young people, provide a path to market entry and provide support and research funding for superior ideas and practical projects.
The Young Scientists Festival, supported by the Jamili Foundation, is held annually to support young ideators and promote entrepreneurship. The supported themes of the festival include Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Computer Sciences & Artificial Intelligence, Physics and a special approach each year in response to global and national priorities. The winners will benefit from financial support and commercialization of their ideas. Registration of ideas is open from August 1st to October 15th and the closing ceremony is in December.
If you are an individual or team with an idea in one of the fields of Basic Sciences, including the creation of new knowledge, its application, or the innovative use of existing knowledge, you can register your idea in the Idea section. Your idea must have been approved at one of the stages of the initial idea, scientific evaluation, or laboratory sample. Before submitting, read the guidelines for participating in the festival.
If you are a new business owner with less than 42 months of experience and have an MVP, you can submit your idea in the Startup category. Your team must be cohesive and have the necessary expertise for a startup. Before submitting, read the festival participation guidelines.
This section includes selected videos of the closing ceremony and interviews with the winners on the University of Tehran Internet TV network, which reflect the achievements and activities of the festival and will preserve valuable memories and inspire current participants.
