On Monday, August 24, 2026, the Secretariat of the Young Scientists Festival hosted Dr. Kamil Tayebi, President of the ECO Science Foundation. The meeting was held to explore existing opportunities for expanding scientific and international cooperation and strengthening the Festival’s engagement with scientific institutions across the region.

Dr. Shadi Jamili, Head of the Festival Secretariat, and Dr. Soroush Moaddab, Executive Director of the Festival, also attended the meeting. The participants discussed the Festival’s capacities and programs, as well as potential areas for joint cooperation in scientific and international fields.

The meeting also examined opportunities to strengthen relations with universities, research centers, and scientific institutions in ECO member countries; organize joint scientific programs and events; identify and support young talents; and create opportunities for interaction among researchers and innovators.

The importance of expanding the Festival’s international cooperation and leveraging the capacities of regional scientific institutions to establish an effective network of researchers, experts, and innovators was also emphasized.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides emphasized the continuation of consultations and follow-up on areas of mutual cooperation, with the aim of expanding scientific and international engagement and making greater use of the existing capacities in ECO member countries.
