On Sunday, corresponding to 31 May 2026, a meeting was held with the participation of Mr. Ebrahim Jamili, Head of the Festival Policy Council, and a group of distinguished young award-winning professors of basic sciences from various editions of the festival. The session focused on the development of cooperation and the establishment of joint projects aligned with scientific objectives.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Moaddab, the Festival Executive Manager, provided an overview of the special approach of the 10th edition of the festival, informing participants about its objectives, framework, and implementation processes.

During the session, Mr. Jamili emphasized the importance of leveraging the scientific capacities of the festival’s distinguished young professors to define joint scientific projects. He further noted that establishing think tanks and forming teams in various fields of Basic Sciences could serve as new operational arms of the festival and help utilize the potential of interdisciplinary areas alongside core Basic Science disciplines.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Yaser Abdi, Dean of the University of Tehran’s College of Science and YSF Secretary, highlighted the influential role of the festival in scientific communities and stressed the necessity of active and continuous participation of professors and students in the organization and advancement of scientific programs. He also emphasized the need to establish and strengthen think tanks with faculty members from various Basic Science departments across the country, in order to enable more precise planning for the selection and nomination of distinguished young professors in future editions.

Participants also proposed various approaches to improve communication between the festival and its target audiences, including the use of scientometric systems, organization of scientific webinars, participation in national and international scientific forums, and leveraging the capacities of postdoctoral researchers.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Shadi Jamili, Head of the Permanent Secretariat of the Festival; Dr. Nasser Gholami, Head of the Management and Planning Committee; and Dr. Mohammad Irani, Dr. Saeid Madanipour, Dr. Hamed Daemi, Dr. Ehsan Arefian, Dr. Ali Maleki, Dr. Alireza Amani Ghadim, and Dr. Maryam Bahraini, all of whom are distinguished young award-winning professors from various editions of the festival.
