Meeting of the YSF Secretariat Director with the Director-General of the Policy Office of the Ministry of Science

In line with strengthening and developing scientific activities, the managers of the “Young Scientists Festival” met and conferred with the Director-General of the Office of Policy Making, Planning, and Development of Science and Technology and Innovation at the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology. During this meeting, ways to expand joint cooperation and establish festival offices in provincial science and technology parks were discussed.

At the beginning of the session, Dr. Khanahmadi, the Director-General of the Office of Policy Making, Planning, and Development of Science and Technology and Innovation, explained the role of science and technology parks in the country’s innovation ecosystem and emphasized the importance of synergy among scientific institutions in supporting young ideators.

Following that, Dr. Shadi Jamili, Head of the Secretariat of the Young Scientists Festival, presented a report on the festival’s activities and goals, highlighting the significance of continuous support for the selected participants and their ongoing connection with the technology ecosystem.

Subsequently, Dr. Soroush Moaddab, the Executive Director of the Festival, put forward proposals and operational plans for expanding cooperation, the most important of which include:

  • Establishing a Permanent Festival Base: Launching a permanent operational base within the country’s science and technology parks with the aim of continuous guidance and support for selected ideators throughout the year.
  • Organizing Science Promotion Events: Implementing nationwide programs in various provinces by utilizing the capacity of provincial science and technology parks and employing specialized mentors to ensure equitable access for talented youth and students to the scientific environment.
  • Synergy with Technology Parks: Holding a series of consultative meetings with the heads of the country’s science and technology parks to coordinate and implement joint programs.

The meeting concluded with an emphasis on the continuation of interactions and the examination of executive solutions for developing the country’s technology ecosystem by the Young Scientists Festival.

Dr. Naser Gholami, Head of the Management and Planning Committee, and Ms. Shabnam Asadi, Secretary of the Development and Innovation Committee of the Festival, were also present at this meeting.
